The person who assists in breaking the fast of a fasting person will get the reward of that fast without taking away from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest. This is true for the one who participates in the distribution of food as it is true for the one who cooks it. Role
- To assist with executing the plan and managing iftar and suhoor at IANL throughout Ramadan, including any external events, such as the ‘Big Date’.
- Manage and help distribute suhoor and iftar, both brought in externally and any donations from people on the day in a calm and friendly manner.
- Adhere to all health and safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Follow the guidance of the Team Lead.
- Help with clearing up.
- Attend all training meetings.
Number of people: 7+
Gender: Brothers and Sisters
Hours per week: 1 hour per evening
Duration: Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the last 10 nights of Ramadan
Skills Required:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent management skills, including people management.
- Helpful, proactive, assertive, swift and friendly.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiar with all necessary policies of IANL and the Ramadan Handbook.
