About the Course
During this course we will be covering the book The Essentials of Islam. It is an easy to understand and comprehensive text that strengthens the mind, heart and soul of the believer. It covers belief (aqidah), worship (fiqh) and purification (tasawuf). It contains knowledge that every believer must know and has been taught throughout the Muslim world for generations.
Upon the completion of this text, the reader will have a deeper understanding of their religion and be closer to their Lord and His beloved Prophet Muhammad. This text was authored by the great Yemeni scholar Ahmad Zayn al-Habashi, he was born in 1659ce and died in 1732ce.

Ustadh Jamal Yusuf
Two years after his conversion to Islam, Jamal travelled to the blessed land of the Yemen in search of sacred knowledge from orthodox sources. During his first year, he grounded himself in the Arabic Language and covered the basics of Worship, Belief and Purification. After this, at the feet of some of the greatest scholars of our generation, he spent six subsequent years delving deeper into the Arabic Language and other Islamic Sciences including, Fiqh, Aqidah, Usoul al-Fiqh, Logic, Hadith, Tafsir and others.
