Ramadan will see large volumes of people attending the mosque for Taraweeh prayers each evening. The Prophet (SAW) said the one who signposts towards good deeds, gets a share of that good deed. If you would like to gain a share of the reward of each person praying, sign up to become a steward. Note: most stewards will be able to pray Taraweeh with the Jama’ah.

Role

  • To help facilitate a smooth and peaceful flow of people coming into and exiting the masjid to worship during Ramadan.
  • To guide and direct people as required.
  • To help with crowd management.
  • To assist with anyone who requires further assistance due to mobility or other health issues.
  • To liaise with the brothers/sisters side as necessary.
  • To assist inside and outside the masjid as required.
  • To assist and lead in any emergency situation.
  • Attend all training meetings.
  • To follow instructions of their Team Lead and IANL policies.

Hours per week: 2+ hours per evening
Duration: Ramadan 2025 and Qiyam al Layl 2025

Skills Required

  • Able to manage and direct people in a welcoming, calm, friendly, kind and clear way.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent at time management and working in a team.
  • Proactive and assertive.
  • Familiar with all necessary policies of IANL and the Ramadan Handbook.
