I’m delighted to share with you the excellent news that after 3 years of hard work by the Governors, staff, parents and leadership team of Barnet Hill Academy, the only Islamic school in Barnet, we have achieved Voluntary Aided i.e. government funded, status. (July, 2022). This would not have been possible without the positive engagement of all stakeholders including local residents, mosques, Islamic centres and particularly the school’s landlords, Hendon Mosque and Islamic Centre and, of course, Barnet Council.
We would like to share this fantastic news with the entire Muslim community as it represents only the 8th such government, state funded Islamic, Voluntary Aided school in the country!
Henceforth, we look forward to welcoming many more children through our doors….inshaAllah.
