What has happened?
- Completion of reinforced floor and walls for the new front entrance
- Manufacturer sign-off of waterproofing (tanking) between the masjid and the neighbouring property
- Taylor Wimpey have taken back their site for demolition
- There is a delay to completion of Phase 2 currently stands at 3-4 weeks due to a combination of factors
What will the impact be to you?
- An entrance will be available from the front of the building for the majority of the next 2 weeks. If this entrance has to be closed, signs will be put up conveying alternative access arrangements
- Access to sisters areas via Rosemont Avenue may also be closed at short notice to facilitate works. Please follow signs if you encounter this
Instructions for IANL users
- Do not park in front of the Taylor Wimpey (Homebase) entrance. It is in constant use by heavy machinery
- Continue to use the new main temporary entrance to the masjid. Note that entrances may be opened and closed at short notice so please observe signage
- Please keep out of the hoarded areas and supervise children at all times
What’s happening in the next two weeks
- Commencement of scaffolding and propping for first floor ring beam
- Widening of Rosemont entrance to comply with fire regulations
