Join IANL’s Community Zakat team to help local Muslims access vital financial support through our partnership with the National Zakat Foundation.
Role requirements
As a Case Worker you’ll:
- meet applicants
- assess eligibility
- help applicants complete simple online applications with compassion and professionalism
- support one session per week (or more if desired)
Number of people needed: 4-5
Gender: Brothers and Sisters required
Hours per week: 2.5 (minimum – more available if desired)
In-person sessions will be held between 10am-12pm on weekdays at IANL.
Duration: ongoing
Skills Required:
- Friendly and organised who can support people in need, with empathy and respect
- Training and guidance are provided — all you need is a caring attitude and attention to detail
- Safeguarding and Data Protection – All volunteers will receive safeguarding training and must handle personal information responsibly in accordance with the UK GDPR.
- A valid DBS certificate and adherence to IANL and NZF safeguarding policies are required to ensure a safe and trusted service for all applicants.
