Two Crews, One Community—Our Sisters’ Boat Has Arrived!

The tradition continues on July 4th, and this time, there’s a seat for everyone.

We’re proud to announce two separate boats for our Brothers and Sisters. Find your rhythm, build new friendships, and help us power across the finish line together.

Brother and Sisters!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we are participating in the exciting Dragon Boat Race again this year—and we have some fantastic news!

For the first time, we have secured a dedicated boat for our sisters. This year’s event will be fully segregated to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable environment for everyone. The sisters’ races will take place in the morning, with the brothers’ races commencing afterwards once the sisters have finished.

Whether you are looking for a bit of adventure or just want to support the community, don’t delay—sign up and become a part of the IANL Dragon Boat Team.

  • Date: Saturday, 4th July 2026
  • Time: 07:30 (Sisters’ races start first; Brothers’ races follow)

Experience the Thrill of Dragon Boat Racing

Come and join the fun of a Dragon Boat race whilst helping to raise vital funds for the IANL Extension.

The Dragon Boat Race promises an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a first-time enthusiast, this thrilling adventure has a place for you. It’s a day filled with camaraderie, teamwork and adrenaline-pumping action, all in the name of community and charity.

Training Sessions

Worried about not having experience? Please don’t be! We will be holding training sessions in the lead-up to the race to get you comfortable on the water and synced up with your team. It’s a great way to meet your fellow rowers and learn the ropes before the main event.

The Format

Dragon boat racing is a forward-facing rowing competition with up to 16 rowers per boat. A specialist Dragon Boat Company will provide a professional cox to steer from the rear, so you’re in safe hands.

  • Professional Support: We are working with a specialist dragon boat events company that provides all legal, health and safety, and public liability cover.
  • Segregated Schedule: Sisters’ Races are first followed by the Brothers’ Races
