A big Jazakallah Khayran to everyone who attended our IANL & BIC Fundraising dinner on Sunday. Alhamdulilah, we had almost 500 attendees and raised over £600K
How the evening went
Imam Ajmal Masroor kicks off the evening
Imam Ajmal Masroor kicked off the evening with a few words as the host on why we are here for the evening and how 2 Masjids have come together to help each other.
Quranic Recitation from Sheikh Shatri
Sheikh Abu Bakr Al Shatri gave a beautiful recitation of the Quran.
Beautiful Recitations from Children of IANL
He then introduced Imam Hamid, who brought on some wonderful students from IANL Academy. The students recited the Qur’an beautifully, showing how important the Masjid is for the next generation.
Yacoub and Importance of the Masjids
Next on the stage was young Yacoub, who inspired us with his experiences of the masjid and its importance to the community. He delivered a heartfelt message about why we should donate as much as we can so that the Masjid can be here for generations to come.

Sheikh Abdur Rahman Green
Sheikh Abdur Rahman Green reaffirmed the message of unity, which was especially poignant as two masjids were coming together to raise funds to for each other.
Fundraising starts
Imam Ajmal then started the fundraising appeal, and our amazing community stepped up and gave over £600K for both our masajid.
Dinner was served
Food was then served, and the buzz in the hall was electric.
The Auction
After the delicious main course we had the auction with some spectacular items and people giving more for the cause of Allah.
