The “Kaba’ir” of Islam – by Imam Oussama

The major prohibitions (Kaba’ir) of Islam are a need-to-know for all Muslims as we live in a time where these prohibitions are widely practiced.
Join Imam Oussama as he identifies each prohibition and outlines the ramifications of each one of them and how they affect us in our lives today. Allah promises that by fulfilling the obligatory deeds and avoiding major prohibitions we will gain entry into paradise and safety from the punishments in the hereafter.
Quran Refresher with Imam Shokat
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays (7:45 – 9pm)

If you wish to learn to recite or improve your recitation of the Quran then join Imam Shokat twice a week for tailored sessions to help better your relationship with the Quran.
If you’ve never learnt how to read, or you’ve learnt before but your recitation is rusty then these sessions are perfect for you. Your sessions will be tailored to focus on getting the best out of your time and developing on your current abilities. Brothers 16+ are welcome to join.
An explanation of The Burdah of Imam Al-Busiri with Imam Hamid

The Burdah of Imam Al-Busiri is one of the most famous poems ever written in praise of the Best of Creation, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It is recited worldwide in gatherings, weddings, and all manner of celebrations with many renditions of the poem made by Nasheed artists such as Sami Yusuf, Mesut Kurtis, and Maher Zain.
Imam Hamid will elucidate the meanings of the Burdah and attempt to capture what makes this poem so special. The poem covers many different aspects of the life and character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) but is ultimately about 2 things: love and redemption.
Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Farsi) with Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Mubashir
When: Tuesday 5pm-6pm
Audience: Brothers only

Tafsir Ibn Kathir is widely regarded as the best and most acceissible exegesis of the Quran. Written in the 8th century (Hijri) it connects verses of the Quran to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in an elegant way.
Join us as Sheikh Mubashir takes us through Tafsir Ibn Kathir on a weekly basis.
These sessions are delivered in Farsi and are for brothers only. All ages are welcome.
