Have you always wanted to look around a mosque but never had reason or invitation to do so? We will be participating in the Visit My Mosque campaign on Sunday 5 Feb and it is open to the public.

The North Finchley Mosque, in the heart of Barnet, a diverse borough with a rich history, and home to the UK's largest Muslim community, is taking part in the Muslim Council of Britain's Visit My Mosque (#VisitMyMosque) day.

The day involves Mosques and Muslim centres across the UK opening up their doors to Non-Muslims who would not have had a chance to explore the ins and outs of a busy Muslim place of worship.

Take part in a walking tour around this fascinating mosque, learn about its history, content and use. Refreshments will be served and you'll have the chance to ask any questions as well.

Hadith

Reported by Abu Hurairah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, \"Do you know what is backbiting?\'\' The Companions said: \"Allah and His Messenger know better.\'\' Thereupon he said, \"Backbiting is talking about your (Muslim) brother in a manner which he dislikes.\'\' It was said to him: \"What if my (Muslim) brother is as I say.\'\' He said, \"If he is actually as you say, then that is backbiting; but if that is not in him, that is slandering.\'\'
