IANL has historically brought in speakers from across the UK to deliver inspiring lectures and motivational speeches that unlock a particular aspect of Islam in our lives. Since Covid, IANL is yet to resume this service and would like to bring it back to the community. This is a unique opportunity to coordinate with great Islamic scholars and personalities in the UK.

We are looking for External Speaker Events Coordinators

Number of people: 2

Gender: Brothers and Sisters

Hours per week:  3+ for a duration of 12 months

Role

As a co-ordinator for external speakers you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

– Create an annual rota for external speakers
– Contact, invite, and liaise with external speakers or the organisations that represent them
– Oversee market and advertise events
– Oversee delivery of the events including meeting speakers on the day
– Coordinate with the IANL Director, administrators, the Digital Team, Volunteer Coordinators and other teams as necessary
– Arrange catering where required

Skills Required

The successful candidate will have:

– Excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner
– Organised and be able to arrange logistics of an event
– Proactive in your work ethic
– Be able to work in a team and coordinate well with others
